Five stages include: Stage 1: Prequalification Test Stage: Tests a minimum of three areas before changing begins. If a problem is detected, charging is terminated Stage 2: Constant Current Stage: Battery is charged with full-rated output current, restoring up to 80% of charge Stage 3: Constant Voltage Stage: Regulated voltage “equalizes” individual battery cells. resulting in full charge delivered to the battery Stage 4: Maintenance Stage: Charger will trickle charge battery at low voltage to maintain full charge Stage 5: Recycle Charge Stage: Every 28th day, charger restarts cycle to refresh batteries in storage
